Stupid Things to Do As Teens: Crazy Stunts and Car Chaos
The second episode of my podcast with Dennis is out now on YouTube.
Dennis and I discussing the crazy stunts we did as kids.
You guys already know that Dennis and I have done a lot of stupid stuff, but I think some of you may be underestimating the exact level of chaos we got up to.
From hopping the train to school to crashing cars into ditches, crashing cars into ponds, and just a lot of crashed cars in general, Dennis and I have done some of the dumbest things you can think of.
Crazy Stunts From Our Teen Adventures
We’re diving deep into the Picher stories that didn’t make it into the book, Barefoot and Bulletproof —just the ones that left a few scars and a lot of laughs.
Give it a watch, and let us know in the comments: What’s the “stupidest” thing you did as a kid?
Why Kids Still Need Crazy Stunts (With Caution)
With the prevalence of things like GPS and phones, kids just aren’t getting the same types of opportunities to go outside to play or fail or walk stuff off. The world feels physically smaller for them than it ever did for us.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d probably go insane if my kids and grandkids were doing the same crazy stunts I was! But you do have to find a balance. At some point, protection becomes a leash that stifles creativity and cages them from opportunity. We must let these things play out sometimes, so our kids learn that when you drive a car into a ditch, all you’re going to get is…
Shattered Glass!
Nowadays, Dennis can’t even hear ice clinking around in a glass of water without bursting out laughing. If you guys want to hear about the time Chuck, Larry, Dennis, and I crashed a car, you won’t want to miss this episode of the podcast.
